It helps you to keep track of the programs you want to hear or see in the near future. You may also indicate if you want to record a program on audio or video tape. Keep a printed list near your radio or television set and you will have your personal program handy at a glimpse. The main data file ------------------ The main datafile contains one entry for each program you want to remind yourself of. It is stored as a textfile on disk. This is the file you open and save using the File menu commands. Its name is saved in the RTVD.INI file, so when RTVD is started, it automatically reopens the datafiles that were used the last time. The default extension for this file is .RTD. You can maintain the main datafile from the main application window by using the Edit menu entries Add, Change and Delete. Also, such menu entries are provided in a pop-up menu, activated by pressing the right mouse-button over the main window listbox. The channel data file --------------------- The channel datafile contains a list of channel codes and descriptions. This file has the same filename as the main datafile, with an extension of .RTC. The channel datafile is automatically opened and saved together with the main data file. To maintain the channel datafile, you open the channel list dialog by choosing the Channel list option from the main window's Edit menu. The channel list dialog has its own Edit menu and toolbar, and also provides a pop-up menu, activated with a right mouse-button click.
